Steve Cockell

WPTA Founder & Director of Tennis

Steve has been a tennis professional for 25 years and holds an LTA Level 4 Accreditation. He has worked at many of London's most famous venues including the AELTC, the Roehampton Club and the National Tennis Centre. Steve is also well renowned for running his own tennis and coaching services and his current company Live Love Sport Ltd manages community tennis sites across 3 venues in SW London.

Private Lessons: from £65 per hour

Steve is available for private coaching on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturday afternoons at WPTA. You can connect via email with him to discuss your requirements, available packages or advice on your lessons.

Lucas Browne

Senior tennis coach & lead for adult group coaching

Lucas is a local Wimbledon resident and has been a qualified tennis coach for over 20 years. He is a PTR professional with a LTA accreditation allowing him to teach players of all standards. Lucas focuses heavily on the adult coaching program at WPTA and runs classes for all levels on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday evenings.

Private Lessons: from £55 per hour

WPTA Support Team

WPTA is an independent family run business and we have a small but really helpful support team to assist with booking, enquiries and assisting our lead coaches. Steve takes care of a lot of the organising of coaching groups but is assisted by his wife Angela who deals with general enquiries and payment issues for players and parents.

Our tennis coaching assistants are young, high level tennis players that have progressed via Steve's coaching and are now ready to pass on their help to our youngest players. We support these assistants on their path to gaining Tennis Leader and Level 1 coaching qualifications.
